Common FAQs and Professional Answers for Pump Industry Customers

1. Product Performance
Q1: What factors will affect the flow rate and head of the pump, and how can we ensure the pump operates at the designed performance parameters?
A1: The flow rate and head of a pump are mainly affected by the following factors:
1. Impeller parameters: The diameter, blade angle, and speed of the impeller directly determine the pump's energy conversion efficiency. A larger impeller diameter or higher speed usually leads to higher head and flow rate, while improper blade angles may cause flow losses.

2. System resistance: Pipeline length, diameter, number of elbows, valves, and the height of the liquid delivery lift will increase the system resistance. Excessive resistance will reduce the actual flow rate and head of the pump.

3. Liquid properties: The viscosity, density, and solid particle content of the conveyed liquid will have an impact. For example, high-viscosity liquids will increase internal friction in the pump, reducing flow rate and head; excessive solid particles may cause wear to the impeller and block the pipeline, affecting performance.

To ensure the pump operates at the designed performance parameters, you can take the following measures:
1. Select the appropriate pump model according to the actual working conditions (such as required flow rate, head, liquid type, etc.) to ensure the pump's design parameters match the system requirements.

2. Optimize the pipeline design: Shorten the pipeline length as much as possible, reduce the number of elbows and valves, and select the appropriate pipeline diameter to minimize system resistance.

3. Regularly inspect and maintain the pump: Check the impeller for wear, corrosion, or damage, and replace it in time if necessary; ensure the pump's speed is within the designed range; clean the pipeline and filters regularly to prevent blockages.

4. Monitor the liquid properties: Ensure the conveyed liquid meets the pump's applicable requirements. If the liquid properties change (such as increased viscosity), adjust the pump operation parameters or replace the appropriate pump type in a timely manner.
Q2: How to judge whether the pump has cavitation, and what are the solutions if cavitation occurs?
A2: Cavitation in a pump can be judged through the following phenomena:
1. Abnormal noise: A "sizzling" or "cracking" sound will be heard during the operation of the pump, which is caused by the collapse of vapor bubbles in the liquid.
2. Performance decline: The flow rate and head of the pump will decrease significantly, and the pressure gauge and flow meter readings will fluctuate.
3. Mechanical damage: Long-term cavitation will cause pitting, erosion, and wear on the impeller, pump casing, and other components, reducing the service life of the pump.

If cavitation occurs, you can take the following solutions:
1. Improve the suction conditions: Lower the installation height of the pump to increase the inlet pressure; shorten the suction pipeline length, reduce the number of elbows and valves, and select a larger-diameter suction pipeline to reduce suction resistance.

2. Reduce the liquid temperature: If the conveyed liquid temperature is too high, it is easy to vaporize and form vapor bubbles. You can take cooling measures (such as installing a cooler) to reduce the liquid temperature.

3. Clean the suction inlet and filter: If the suction inlet or filter is blocked by impurities, it will increase the suction resistance and cause cavitation. Clean the suction inlet and filter regularly to ensure smooth suction.

4. Replace the pump with a more cavitation-resistant model: If the above measures cannot solve the cavitation problem, you can consider replacing the pump with a model with better cavitation resistance (such as a pump with a double-suction impeller or a low-NPSH pump).
2. After-Sales Service
Q1: What is the warranty period of your pumps, and what scope does the warranty cover?
A1: The standard warranty period of our pumps is 12 months from the date of delivery or 10 months from the date of commissioning (whichever comes first). For some special pump models or customized products, the warranty period can be adjusted according to the specific agreement in the contract.

The warranty scope mainly includes the following:
